I love writing and started this blog in May 2016 as a creative outlet after my two children had started school. As well as blogging articles, I spend my time writing creatively, making up short stories and and poems, and working on a novel set in the far north of Scotland. My writing has featured on the Venture North travel website, and my poem ‘Secrets of a Dog Lover’ was published by the Scottish Book Trust in their 2016 book week publication ‘Secrets and Confessions.’ I have also appeared on BBC Radio Scotland offering family activity planning advice.
Photography is a big part of family life here and we love to capture images (and sometimes film) of life’s little moments and the different places we’ve visited. You’ll find lots of photographs in this blog, and unless otherwise stated, all of them have been taken either by myself or my husband. I hope you enjoy looking at them but please don’t take or use them in any other way – they mean a lot to us.
As well as travel and photography, my interests include walking, cycling, books and film, cooking, baking, yoga and pretty much anything to do with nature and the Great Outdoors. If you’re interested in any of these things, I really hope you’ll find something to appeal to you here.
When I’m not here on the blog or running around after my family, you’ll probably find me on Instagram posting pictures of sunrises, flatlays, and cups of coffee.
I love to hear from readers so please do get in touch with me if you’d like to. I am also open to requests from businesses and brands to provide reviews, collaborative posts, features, content writing or anything else which might be relevant to my blog. If you’d like to contact me to discuss anything in my blog or to enquire about working with me, please just e-mail email@example.com.
